These boats are small, but those are far away. In a Father Ted kind of way.....

We left Oban at 02:00hrs and motored through the night. The sunrise was spectacular - and no, this shot hasn't been photoshopped in any way.

First stop was Craighouse where we anchored for breakfast and took the opportunity to visit the Jura distillery.

After arriving at Port Ellen on Islay, Debbi and I stayed aboard for some sleep whilst Tonye, Marios, Gary and Ross went to a Master of Malt whisky tasting.

A wee snack before heading out - again....

Bowmore was the first distillery on the list.

Followed by Lagavulin and then........

Ardbeg to finish.

The signpost with names of the Ardbeg whiskies.

A whisky connoisseurs delight?

Tony reflecting on the trip as we prepare to leave Port Ellen.

A successful trip to Islay....

Leaving Port Ellen.

En-route to Carsaig Bay.

Catching the sea air.

Trialling the odd looking 'sea sickness remedy' glasses.

Always time for a wee dram....

And Ross agrees too......

Quizzing the skipper...

Drunk in charge?

After anchoring, we walked across to Tayvallich....

For ice creams!

Followed by a beach BBQ.

And some lovely salads.

Throw in a camp fire and beautiful sunset and the day was complete.

Until two swans turned up. Unfortunately, one was camera shy.

Awesome evening.

Stunning weather for the short trip back to Oban.

with a look at the 'Bridge Over The Atlantic'.

Gary and Debbi discussing the whys and wherefores.

Salt spray on the ships bell. Need to get the Brasso out......
