Let Aspyrian help you explore the beauty and magic of the Scottish coastline.

We offer bespoke charters catering for the individual customer needs. We just need a hint and we’ll do the rest. We can tailor almost all requests to meet individual demands. Examples might be cycling on the islands, canoeing, whisky tours, nature cruises, hill walking and much more. We can also advise and help you plan your ultimate getaway break.

During the season, we may schedule one-off voyages so keep an eye on the website for up to date plans and availability.

Your Hosts

Simon and Debbi Beeson will be your hosts for your adventure. Simon thinks he’s the skipper but only when Debbi lets him……. Anyway, Simon and Debbi previously owned a Princess 45 but decided to upgrade to a more stable operating platform with huge live-aboard and entertaining capability – so we now have Aspyrian.

Simon is RYA Yachtmaster Offshore commercially qualified. He is an ex Royal Marine Commando and has worked in senior management positions in the oil and gas industry. He is a time-served diesel mechanic which helps should a practical approach be needed.

Debbi has an RYA Day Skipper qualification. Her Fine Art Honours Degree was put to good use in the interior design. She is a whizz in the galley and conjures up the most amazing fare with ingredients sourced locally whenever possible. Don’t be surprised to see Debbi foraging wherever we stop!

THE YACHT

Aspyrian is a 1968 steel hulled, twin Gardner 6LX engined motor cruiser. Built originally by CEBEC International as a harbour support vessel she has travelled to the Mediterranean and Holland before being bought by her previous owner in the mid 1970s. A partial restoration ensued but unfortunately didn’t get finished and she lay in the Norfolk Broads for around 35 years until she was bought by Simon and Debbi. A four year restoration project commenced at Waveney River Centre where a complete strip down and professional rebuild was undertaken. For superior guest comfort, we kept the vessel coding to 8 people, meaning she sleeps a maximum of 6 guests plus 2 crew.

CABINS & ACCOMMODATION

During her four year refurbishment, Aspyrian was refitted to a high standard. Each cabin has a wet-room / en-suite affording individual privacy. The guest cabins are a double cabin forward, a twin cabin which converts to a double if required starboard, and a seating area forward which also converts to a mid-double cabin, again, with it’s dedicated en-suite. Heating onboard is by water central heating.

Aft, there is the owners cabin, a single berth crew cabin, galley and engine room access. The galley is all electric as the boat doesn’t have gas. A freezer and two fridges allow for extended cruising and a washer dryer means that should any washing be needed, this is easily accommodated for. Water may be topped up using the onboard water maker.

The saloon is the ‘nerve centre’ of Aspyrian. It’s a comfortable seating and relaxing area. Somewhere to eat, drink and unwind. The helm position is here too, positioned to port.

On deck to aft is a nice area to sit and watch the day go by or sun go down whether cruising at sea or at anchor in a remote sea loch.
